Erdem Çetinkaya Biography

Erdem Çetinkaya is a well-known artist with his recent international works. He had entered into production sector with 3D animation and vfx works in 1997. In this period he had worked with some production companies like Mojo and Kornea in 1997. He had been notable for his works at short notice. One of his first work experience is a short animation film called “Biz Kardeşiz/We are all Brothers”. This short film was won widely recognition with agents’ firefighting and car blasting scenes on motorway which was shooted with an amateur camera and zero budget and its shooting took 10 hours. Çetinkaya directed a 18 episodes science fiction documentary film for TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Association) as a special effects director called “Küçük Muhteşemdir/Little is Magnifical” contained a 60 minutes animation. He also made this science fiction documentary film’s animations.

Çetinkaya was awarded “The Best Video” and “The Golden Account” in 2007 by the Istock, the biggest video and media agent of the world. He entered the Top Seller List of Videographers with his worldwide video selling which is over 5000. He received a special invitation from Getty Images and his products will be launched to present in November 2008.

His 3d films and play scenes are selling on many agencies like turbosquid and the 123d. His products are used in hundreds worldwide projects. He took part in “Westbrick Murders” as a special effects director which was directed by Sahun Rana. He worked with some famous artists like Eric Roberts in this film.

Then Çetinkaya founded his film and animation production company called Miracle Visual Arts. Some of his latest works are: The PopStar quiz show’s advertisement and credits for ATV which is one of the most watched tv channel in Turkey. He made the commercials and screen credits of the Atv PopStar with Ebru Akel and Ajda Pekkan, the commercial films of Wild Dragon Energy Drink in the quality of cinema resolution, using the bluebox, camera tracking and the flying with rope technologies which is timely nowadays in Hollywood. His product sales enlarged in our country and especially in Europe and the brand distributed itself and decided to enlarge. He made lots of commercial films local and foreign, like TouchX, touch-operated LCD, Rose Resort Hotels, Termikel, and Electromed..

The director, Çetinkaya who worked as a cinema critic at Haber Ajanda magazine for a while, did a long-termed scientific research about the Golden Ratio and its reflections in the nature.

The Director, Erdem Çetinkaya who gives seminar and train at ODTÜ ATOM (Middle East Technical Unversity, Animation Technologies and Game Development Centre) produced a new technology named “cinegame”. This new technology is the world’s first steerable film technology which is applicable to both PC and DVD. The first applicable samples of this technology announcement is being planned to announcewith a pres meeting which will be held at ODTÜ in the first months of 2009.
